Festive Films

The Christmas movies are my favourite part of the festivities, its the only time I sit down to watch films.  I love to snuggle under a blanket with a box of match makers and chocolate fingers (sometimes both) and have a jammy (pj) day.

This will be happening at TBF HQ next weekend - this weekend is pandemonium (more on that later)  I have yet to switch over to Sky Christmas, my tree isn't up yet, I feel so disorganised this year and I don't like it!
My sister bought me the Harry Potter Box Set last year, it's still in the wrapper, I plan a Harry Potter PJ day over the holidays too!  I've seen the first 2 but never watched the others on TV as I hadn't seen the 3rd.  I'm freaky that way!

My top 5 festive films are -

5
Miracle on 34th Street
Dreams do come true at Christmas for little 6 year old Susan, her mother tells her a "secret" about Santa but after writing her Christmas list she receives a precious Christmas Gift.

4
The Grinch
What's not to love about The Grinch, who wouldn't like to live in Wholville!! The Grinch (Jim Carey) and his poor beloved side kick Max set out to ruin Christmas but has a change of heart when he befriends little Cindy Lou Who!

3
Elf
Just wouldn't be Christmas with Elf!
"The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear" Enough said!

2
Its a Wonderful Life

Some movies are made only for black & white, this is one of them.   I refuse to watch this in colour.  "Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings"  When George Bailey feels like he can't go on and visit from Clarence his guardian angel shows him life without George.  A weepy that pulls on the heart strings

1
Love Actually
My all time favourite Christmas film, I laugh, I cry, I could play a part.  Its all about the love..............

What's your favourite Christmas movie? x

Weird August!

I've always found August a strange month in the Fashion World!

I'm kind of over real Summery clothes, strappy vests, floating maxi's but not ready for Autumn.

Obviously living in Scotland we always get it a bit chillier although this Summer the weather has been fab and I'm certainly not complaining!
I once made an epic fail of attend London Fashion Week in September, I left the house at  4 am with fur jacket, boots the usual Autumn attire only to arrive in London to glorious sunshine!!! Lesson learnt, its all in the preparation........check the forecast!

I must admit Tallulah Belle has jumped on the band wagon with a MASSIVE Summer sale but here is a few of my favourite pieces for the Inbeweeners ..............

Bright Yellow Blazer  The perfect cover up, I always get lovely comments wearing mine.

Navy & White Jumpsuit Beautiful, material is slightly heavier but with the one shoulder detail and palazzo style keeping it cool.

Splash Top   This is my staple piece in my wardrobe at the moment teamed with skinny jeans and heels - Perfect!

What's your fashion tips for inbetween seasons?

Runways and Fundays.......

We had our first fashion show!

I had the idea of a Fashion Show but wanted to raise some money for a local charity too.  I met with Lynne Bennett, Charity Manager from Cash for Kids beginning of January this year.
Lynne is an amazing lady with sheer drive and determination for Cash for Kids, we had a lovely chat and she told me all about Cash for Kids and the work that they do.
Set up in 1997 the charity is underwritten by the Hunter Foundation which means every penny raised goes to the under privileged children who need it most. Over 14,000 children were supported last year alone.  She told me 1 in 5 children in Scotland are living in poverty and most of them have a parent in full time employment which in this day and age is tragic. I'm not on here here to preach but it certainly opened my eyes and although I don't have kids, its touched a raw nerve.

The setting for the event was Si  Italia which created a beautiful backdrop for our cat walk, we had plenty of shopping for the ladies with Scentsations of Troon Elizabeth Arden Ecosse Candles and photographs and booth from Amber Jenkins Photography

On the night we raised £1020.00 from ticket & raffle sales.  I'm really grateful to those who gave up their time, donated raffles and came along and supported myself and Cash for Kids.

Look out for our AW14 Showcase!

1st Year in Business

Yes its our 1st birthday & over the past year women all over the UK (and Australia) have been dipping into our super stylish collection!

To celebrate we have a give-away over on Facebook.

To say your first year in business is a rocky ride would be an understatement. Some days you may as-well have an all day ticket on the "Big One" at  Blackpool Pleasure Beach!

Would I change it........... would I never.

Its the best move I have ever made.  Although I still have a full time job, need to pay the mortgage ( sighs...)
I live and breathe Tallulah Belle, it's all I think about and hopefully next year it will be full time.  I have HUGE plans to put into action.

I've met some lovely, kind, generous people, I realise who has my back and those who don't.  I don't have time for much,

I'm so looking forward to the year ahead, I have a clear vision for the future, I'm working with a great charity, Cash for Kids.  I have a few events planned including our first Fashion Show next month.

Its all very exciting but I honestly couldn't do it without you guys...........  I'm extremely grateful to each and every one of you.

Thank you xx
